The Human Behind the Practice

As a feminist, queer & neurodivergent therapist, I  bring a unique collection of lived experiences and empathy to my  work with clients. I feel passionately about supporting queer, neurodivergent, chronically ill, and  Latiné marginalized communities . Having spent some of my  formative years in predominately Latine spaces, I have a passion for empowering Latine adults whilst maintaining reverence for culture with sensitivity.

A long time dream, I returned to Southern California in 2022 after many years in Texas. In my personal life, I enjoy listening to music on my vintage sound system, collecting plants, crystals, and tarot & oracle decks (witchiness, welcome!) - and eating really bomb pizza. I also spend a lot of time attempting to persuade my dog to cuddle with me.

You Belong Here

Currently, much of my work includes helping LGBTQIA+ folks find healing from religious trauma. While I am not religious, having grown up (in-part)in Texas, I am intimately familiar with the power that religious communities can possess. I  support clients of all faiths and am firmly grounded within a belief that spirituality and existentialism in many forms offer a meaningful form of support and healing.

In addition to my work with the queer and neurodivergent communities, I very much enjoy supporting Latiné women and gender non-conforming individuals, parents of neurodivergent children, women and femmes who live with chronic illness and medical trauma, and other therapists and mental health professionals. I also enjoy empowering folks to "find their voice" in the workplace, strengthen self advocacy, and take up space with authenticity.

While walking alongside my clients, I strive to help individuals identify and gain insight about who they are and how their beliefs were formed - specifically within the context of family of origin. I believe that inner awareness including but not limited to- identification of inner feelings, thoughts, and experiences is a crucial component of "the work" that is necessary for clients to liberate themselves from deep inner wounds.

As a positive consequence of internal growth, many of my clients report that greater understanding of relationship patterns, authentic self expression of needs, and boundary setting arise from within their inner resources.

Counseling is a deeply personal journey. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space where you, your story, and your journey are honored.
